Earlene Peterson: Clemency for Danny Lee

A 6-minute clemency film. Color. 2020.

Daniel Lee, a former white supremacist who renounced his ties to that movement, was convicted of participating in the 1996 murders of William Mueller, his wife, Nancy, and her 8-year-old daughter, Sarah Powell. Daniel's execution was opposed by three members of his victims family. They argued for years that Daniel should receive the same life sentence as Chevie Kehoe, the ringleader in a deadly scheme, and the person responsible for the child's death. In this film Earlene Peterson, whose daughter Nancy and granddaughter Sarah were killed by Chevie Kehoe and Daniel Lewis Lee requested clemency for Lee. Daniel was executed on July 14, 2020.
